TRAIL Search basics

What are AEO and GEO?
AEO and GEO are ways of improving your content so that search and answer systems can understand it and use it as the basis for their answers. AEO stands for Answer Engine Optimization and GEO for Generative Engine Optimization. The two terms overlap, and neither is tied to one specific platform. As search shifts toward answer-style AI, there are places where SEO alone no longer gets your brand into 'the AI's answer.' This is the work of finding and fixing those places.
What does TRAIL Search do?
TRAIL Search shows you how your brand appears when customers ask AI search, and finds what to fix, in priority order. Starting from your brand and site address, it derives the questions customers are likely to ask, puts those questions to several AI engines, and compares how your brand and your competitors show up in the answers. It then lays out where crawlers are blocked, which site items to fix, and which content is missing as a prioritized list, so you can fix them and check again.
How is it different from traditional SEO tools (Ahrefs, SEMrush)?
The inputs and the outputs are different. Traditional SEO tools are adding brand-mention tracking inside AI answers too, but they mostly expect you to register the prompts to track yourself. TRAIL Search starts by deriving the Korean-language questions customers are likely to ask from your brand and site address, records which engine each question was asked on and when as a timestamped run, shows the source URLs each answer cited on engines that return citations, and returns what to fix as a prioritized list so you can fix it and check again. Every tool's feature set keeps changing, so check each official page for the latest.
Which AI engines do you check?
We check answers from ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, Gemini, Google AI Overview, and Naver AI Briefing. We ask the same question across several engines, compare engine by engine how your brand shows up in the answers, and track the engines you select in your plan on a regular schedule. Whether the source URLs an answer cites are collected depends on the engine and its settings.

Results and guarantees

Do you guarantee AI visibility or ranking?
No. Whether you appear in an AI answer, and in what order you're cited, is decided by the platform's algorithm, the competitive situation, and market demand together. Those are outside our control. What we do is find which questions your brand is missing from, lay out what to fix in priority order, and report what was observed afterward. We keep observed facts separate from estimated effects, and when the sample or observation window is too small, we withhold a verdict.
How do I see results?
After you make fixes, we run the diagnosis again and show the difference from the previous run. Every run records which questions were asked on which engines and when, lets you see the source URLs each answer cited on engines that return citations, and lets you reopen past runs to compare. Engines we couldn't measure because there was no valid answer are marked 'not measurable' instead of 0%, so observed facts and missing data are never mixed together.

Getting started

What data do I need to get started?
Your brand and product information, a site (or channel) address, and a few questions customers are likely to ask are enough to start. To also see the traffic that actually reached your site, connect Google Analytics and Search Console. If the data is thin, we'll say so and suggest what else is needed for the next check.
Can I start for free?
Yes, you can sign up and start on the Free plan (₩0) with no card. The Free plan gives you 10 tracked questions and 10 credits (one time) for a self-diagnosis. Paid plans are Starter at ₩199,000/mo, Pro at ₩399,000/mo, and Max at ₩899,000/mo, and annual billing saves 17%.

Product scope and how the products relate

How do you improve AEO/GEO?
First we derive the questions customers are likely to ask and compare how your brand shows up across several AI engines to find the questions you're missing. Then you get a prioritized list: where crawlers are blocked, which site items to fix (llms.txt, schema, and so on), and which content is missing. You fix the site, then run the diagnosis again to see what changed. For the missing content, TRAIL Search drafts the articles itself, grounded in your brand memory and the structure of pages that actually get cited (15 credits; you review the rule-check results and approve before publishing). Visual content such as card news and video can then be produced in TRAIL Studio. The two products also work fine on their own.
How does this relate to TRAIL Studio and TRAIL Perform?
TRAIL Search is a SaaS product run by TRAIL Labs, and TRAIL Studio is a separate product run by the same company. TRAIL Search answers 'when customers go looking, how does your brand show up?' while TRAIL Studio answers 'what should your brand say, and how?' They are separate subscriptions and each works on its own; accounts, billing, and automatic integration aren't shared. TRAIL Perform is the product for multi-channel ad operations, performance analysis, and budget allocation and execution.
